Will The Real Linda May  Stand Up?

I never had a chance... Once I looked into those eyes.. I've seen eyes like hers before all soft and sweet, and once they lure you in, they turn to stone. If I had looked a little closer, I'd seen the stone hiding beneath the sweetness, and smiles, and warm embraces. But it was too late, I was already trapped in her net, and being drawn into her strange world. I should have known better.

Her strange world. "Hmm let me try to describe it to  you. For starters, She lives in abandoned  old warehouse , on the wrong side of town. A place where NO one goes in their right mind. and definitely not without being armed. or at night."  At one time or another she managed to get some power rigged up, I doubt its legal, or even up to code, but she has electric. As for her decor think  "Modern Junk" ie, whatever she finds or can steal or gets given to her. Most of it should have been shot and out  of its misery years ago.  In her limited defense, she don't drink, do drugs, Hell, she's her own drug I think sometimes. I have never seen her go out of her way to hurt someone, In fact, I've seen her help a few people, But I didn't tell her I told  you that, That's our little secret.

"But what makes her so stone cold, besides being more the a little eccentric, or just plan weird.? " You may rightly ask. I've seen the way she's used men over the years. She lures them, gets them to love her,  I think in her own warped way she probably loves them at the time, But at some point, she just turns to ice. Ice  cold as the North Pole. She freezes them out,  I seen her make grown men cry just by looking at them, and they leave wonder what hit them, and what they did wrong. They didn't do anything wrong, she just flipped the Ice switch, as I call it and froze them out. In cases , to the point they were homeless, and broke, they couldn't function anymore.

There I was fast sliding into her world of weirdness, and paranoia about people spying on her, and following her. Why would anyone want to ?   As far as I knew she didn't even have a computer or a internet access, or a cell phone. Boy was I wrong. Finely after a while things didn't make sense, even less then usual, I  stole a glass with her prints on them.   I knew a buddy who could run them for me. So I had him run them. What a surprise I got.  He wouldn't even talk to me on the phone about them, he insisted we meet and he'd give the file.

We meet in a out of the way dinner at a very odd hour, and he handed me the file folder.

"Everyone's favorite weird lady, has a name, and a very checked past, and is in fact being watched." he said as I opened the file.  There she was in a nice 8x10 glossy from a number of years ago. also some more recent pictures. not as good and her not looking so good. There was a details sheet under the pictures.      Her  name was Linda  May , 47, Born in Texas, and graduated high school, went straight to US army, severed there for 10 years, then went into intelligence for the CIA. There she was model agent and  information specialist,  also well qualified to  handle pretty much anything that went bang.  There were lots of details about various missions, naming people and places and dates, and stuff the public wasn't supposed to know about. It was probably better off not knowing some of the stuff she did in the name of our country. My friend, indicated the last page.

I looked at. There were the details of her leaving the CIA, and explanations of why she was they way she was now.  Apparently, she had been captured by terrorist, and among other very nasty things, they did, filled with so many drugs she couldn't remember who she was, or what had happened  or even function, on any kind or normal level. When they got her back, they tried hospitalizing her, she wouldn't/couldn't respond to treatment.  Finely they had to let her go convinced that she would never remember anything about what happened. They do keep a eye on her, and whenever a man is dumped by her, they try to brief him, and pay him off to go away quietly. Most do.

After reading the entire file I was more then a little convinced that she remembered  much more then she ever let on. Something in the way she had been acting was off from her usual oddness.  So the next time she was out I got in and searched her place. I had to be very careful. I knew she'd notice if anything was out of place. In the mess she called a bedroom, under a pile of old clothes I found it. Here was her laptop. The computer she swore she never had. I also found her internet connection. No wifi, hard line only, Opening it I found it was secured with a password. I tried my name just for the heck of it. To my surprise it worked. That told me, she probably used whatever boyfriends name she had at the time, Didn't blame her in a way, easy to remember, and besides she not supposed to even have it. I pulled my USB drive out and copied her documents file to my USB drive. That done I VERY carefully replaced everything exactly was I had found it and got  the heck out of there just before she got back.

Back at my place I had a look at what I'd gotten from Linda's computer. Several folders showed up . Each was a name.  I recognize several names. Several were past boyfriends, and many were from the CIA, and several terrorist I suspect the ones who captured her. I wrote down the names, and called my source .

" I have some names and files for you too look at" I said, knowing not to mention anything specific on the phone  we agreed to meet at another dinner later that evening,

One hour later, I showed up with my laptop, and we sat in my car and I showed him the files I gotten of the machine  Linda always said she didn't own.He read the files over and looked at me and said she's still working. Only for them"  I was in a state of shock. For the last ten years or so she's been running around having everyone convinced sh's a mental case, all the while she spying on us. He said all of the "Boyfriends" were actually marks she'd pumped for information, they had suspected it for a long time, but couldn't prove it.    The next week was spend with Linda under tighter surveillance then she had ever had  been before. Now they knew about her computer it was easy to watch it, some looking fond her cell phone and by the end of the week they had their case.

I met my buddy from the CIA, and we went to see Linda May.

"Linda May, Your under arrest for treason"
